Este dossier se propone como un laboratorio para pensar desde el feminismo decolonial, posibles puntos de fuga en el análisis de escenarios destinados al arte y al artivismo: museos, plazas y calles.

Estos escenarios son espacios de disputa de las representaciones sociales y de los derechos de mujeres y disidencias sexo-genéricas, en los que ellxs buscan ser vistxs y oídxs, y en donde se generan materiales, fuentes, testimonios importantes para comprender esta era de cambios especialmente, a partir de los estudios socioculturales.

Estos materiales documentales, pueden ser patrimonializados si repensamos características centrales y conceptualizaciones a su alrededor, porque -por otro lado-, los archivos clásicos reflejan las categorías hegemónicas occidentales y patriarcales: urge revisar los formatos, soportes y funciones de estas fuentes, tanto como el potencial transformador de una memoria y un patrimonio donde las feminidades, las disidencias sexo-genéricas y sus expresiones artísticas sean tomadas en cuenta.

Cambiantes, flexibles, por momentos escurridizos, los conceptos de museo y archivo constituyen un terreno de disputa sobre el que convergen miradas e intereses. Proponemos hacer foco en las comunidades, sus demandas sociales y políticas vinculadas al arte y al activismo artístico.

Este dossier busca, a partir de un eje historizante, abrir un espacio interdisciplinario de discusión teórica y metodológica de análisis de casos centrados en el papel de las feminidades y las disidencias sexo-genéricas, tanto en museos y archivos como en acciones artivistas.

Si bien la llamada es amplia e inclusiva, esperamos contribuciones de historiadorxs culturales, historiadorxs del arte, curadorxs de museos, antropólogxs, investigadorxs sobre género y transfeminismo, con especial énfasis en la perspectiva decolonial. Se esperan propuestas espontáneas con artículos inéditos, resultados de investigaciones originales, enfocados en el tema del dossier y comprendidos en el área de estudios de la historia americana.

Todos los artículos propuestos para el dossier serán sometidos a una evaluación realizada, por lo menos, por dos referees ad hoc externos al Consejo Editorial de la revista.

Los artículos propuestos pueden estar redactados en portugués, español o inglés. El original enviado deberá estar redactado en Word, fuente Times New Roman 12, espacio 1,5, formato A4. Los artículos y documentos tendrán la dimensión mínima de 15 páginas y una máxima de 30 páginas, incluyendo bibliografía y notas. Streets, archives, and museums. Vanishing points between Latinamerican art and artivism from a gender and decolonial perspective.

This dossier’s objective is to function as a laboratory for thought, from the perspective of decolonial feminism, of possible vanishing points in the analysis of stages destined to art and artivism: museums, parks, and streets.

These stages are spaces of dispute for social representation and for women and sexual and gender dissidences’ rights, in which these groups seek to be seen and heard, and where they generate materials, sources and testimonies especially relevant to understand this era of changes, through the lens of sociocultural studies.

These documental materials can become patrimony if we re-think the central characteristics and conceptualizations around them because -on the other hand-, classic archives reflect hegemonic Western and patriarchal categories: thus, it is urgent to revise the formats, supports and functions of these sources, as well as the potential for transformation of memory and patrimony where femininities, sexual and gender dissidences, and their artistic expressions are considered.

Changing, flexible, sometimes elusive, the concepts of museum and archive constitute disputed grounds in which perspectives and interests converge. We propose to focus on communities, their social and political demands in regard to art and artistic activism.

Although the open call is wide and inclusive, we expect contributions from cultural historians, art historians, museum curators, anthropologists, gender and transfeminism researchers, with a particular emphasis on decolonial perspectives. Spontaneous, original, and unpublished articles are expected, results of original research, focused on the theme of the dossier and within the area of American history studies.

All proposed papers will be subject to an evaluation by, at least, two ad hoc referees, external to the Editorial Council of the magazine.

The proposed papers can be written in Portuguese, Spanish, or English. The original must be sent as a Word file, with a Times New Roman Font, Size 12, 1.5 space between lines, and A4 format. The articles and documents will have a minimum extension of 15 pages and a maximum of 30 pages, including bibliography and notes.
