Abstract

Abstract: The paper focuses on the construction of a model of democracy in Latin America since 2007, by the so-called "Plataforma Democrática", an initiative of the Instituto Fernando Henrique Cardoso (IFHC) and the Centro Edelstein de Pesquisas Sociais. In the following lines, the enterprise interest underlying the project is discussed, as well as its potential to guide state reforms in Latin America. In this way, is possible to understand the relationship between class struggles and the transformation of state apparatus and political regimes in the region.
